- Memorial Bench at the Broad Street Market
A memorial bench was installed in the courtyard of the Broad Street Market a few years ago in memory of Margaret Brinton, a longtime Midtown resident. When the bench deteriorated, MAC purchased a new one and installed it in June. See the photos.
- Adopt-A-Block Program
MAC adopted a block on North Third Street which is cleaned by board members.
- Community Dinner
For the past sixteen years, MAC has hosted a dinner for midtown residents in January. The dinner is free to residents but a donation of canned goods is requested to be given to the needy.
- National Night Out
For several years, MAC has hosted an ice cream social for midtown residents in Riverfront Park. In 2008, MAC joined up with Midtown Neighborhood Watch and the social included a dunk tank, games and door prizes.
- Holiday Decorating
MAC board members volunteer their time to hang holiday bows on the lamp posts in midtown.
- 2007 City Council Candidates' Night
On March 13, 2007, MAC and Midtown Neighborhood Watch hosted a Candidates Night at Linden Terrace where all those running for Harrisburg City Council in the May primary were asked a series of predetermined questions. The debate was moderated by Professor Wesley Oliver of Widener University.
